A healthful, fun program that
focuses on empowering each participant by providing crucial information
to make changes towards living a healthier lifestyle. This program
includes a unique movement component – dance! Participants will have an
opportunity to learn dance moves as part of this wellness program.
Dancing is a fun way to exercise, think and socialize. Dancing is an
intense, non-impact activity that not only raises your heart rate, but
also utilizes the entire body. Dance incorporates the mind, as moves
are learned and require cognitive activity. Also, dance promotes
interaction, laughter and lots of enjoyment. Participants will meet for
1 hour weekly for 12 weeks and will be acquiring essential life skills
that will aid in the attainment of their wellness goals. They will be
